A DIVIDED HOUSE OF COUNTRY Y IN PLANET X

Văn John Dương June 9, 2024

The twin moons of X cast an eerie glow upon Country Y, a nation fractured by the chasm between the opulent elite and the struggling masses. Towering chrome pyramids pierce the sky in the capital, testaments to the obscene wealth concentrated in the hands of a privileged few. Yet, at their base, shadows lengthen, revealing crumbling tenements where the forgotten millions huddle for warmth.

The air in Y vibrates with a tension thicker than the smog spewing from endless factories. Slogans like "Make Y Great Again" and "Y First" blare from propaganda screens, hollow promises that grate on the ears of those who haven't seen greatness in generations. The resources that fuel the country's war machine leave gaping holes in social services. Schools stand neglected, playgrounds echo with the emptiness of children who can't afford to attend. The metallic tang of fear mingles with the city's ever-present dust, a constant reminder of the looming threat of interplanetary war.

Whispers of rebellion, once a flickering candle flame, now ignite into a roaring inferno. The faces etched with exhaustion are hardening with resolve. The hands that once toiled mindlessly to build weapons of destruction now clench into fists, yearning for a future where their sweat and labor benefit not just the elite, but the entirety of Y.

Across the vast plains beyond the polluted sprawl of the capital, whispers of a different dream take root. In the flickering lamplight of rural communities, farmers huddle and share stories – tales of forgotten unity with neighboring countries, of vibrant cultural exchange, of a time when X wasn't a battlefield but a tapestry woven with diverse threads. They yearn for a leader who understands the true meaning of greatness – not domination, but shared prosperity.

The tipping point looms. Will Y succumb to the self-destruction fueled by a belligerent elite? Or will the collective anger of the people rise like a tide, demanding a new path?

The choice rests upon the shoulders of Y's citizens. Will they remain divided, a house fracturing under the weight of its own greed? Or will they tear down the walls that separate them, forging a future built on equality, collaboration, and a shared dream for a peaceful and prosperous Planet X? The answer will determine not just the fate of Y, but the destiny of all who call X home.
